9 sty 2022 · The Elecraft T1 is my favorite portable QRP automatic antenna tuner. I love the T1 because it’s so compact/portable, lightweight, and easy to use. It also has a very wide matching range. The T1 has never let me down in the field–it can match almost anything you connect to it. I frequently pair the T1 with my TX-500.
The ZM-2 ATU is a simple manual antenna tuner that you can purchase either as a fun-to-build kit or fully assembled and tested. I’ve owned my ZM-2 for many years, and I believe every QRP field operator should have one. They do a brilliant job of matching random wire antennas and taking your resonant antenna to a non-resonant band.
18 kwi 2020 · A well-designed Z-match tuner has a high Q and is more efficient (less lossy) than other types of tuners. The fixed inductor simplifies construction (no taps or rollers needed). Using a toroid inductor and some small poly-film variable capacitors, the Z-match can be built into a very compact package.
