Salomon makes a decent range of wide hiking shoes/boots. I have a pair (X Ultra 3 mid Goretex) that I'm very happy with, but I'm only probably EE width, so YMMV. REI has a good selection, might be able to order some in store to try on and not have to deal with returns and such (assuming you have an REI nearby).
You should have roughly the width of your finger between the end of you toe and the shoe, size up if you're between sizes. If you can't size up without your feet slipping around inside the shoe then it's the wrong shoe for you
