I've seen a couple of videos about the benefits of modern PC gaming with a CRT, but those videos talk about some high grade, professional monitors. High refresh rates, HD resolution, vibrant colors. But those cost in the thousands of dollars and I don't know if that's something I want to invest in.
Most modern AAA games support 4:3 or can be modified to support it and they all look pretty great on a higher-end CRT computer monitor. Racing games and shooters particularly benefit from the motion clarity and refresh rate capabilities.

19 lut 2020 · The FW900 and other CRT of similar quality can destroy LCD monitors in regards to be able to game with zero input lag, and instant pixel response, at higher refresh rates, whilst also retaining great image quality thanks to good contrast ratios and black levels.
High end CRT monitors are great for many modern games too imo, but not worth any insane amounts really, for their image quality. I'd pay max. hundreds €/USD for any high end models I believe. Also there's quite a bit of work with calibrations to have them look as good as they can.
