6 cze 2013 · I'm going to be starting Revell's 1/32nd Bell X-1 and I'm looking for some good detail photos and technical diagrams. I've found a couple basic diagrams online, but I'll be rescribing the panels and I'd like to have some official diagrams to go by.
19 gru 2009 · I was really amazed at the size of the kit and thought I would show some size comparison to other kits of the X-1. At the top of the pic is the Pegasus kit, under it is the 1/32 Revell offering, next is the Eduard 1/48 kit and at the bottom is the 12 Squared 1/72 scale X-1.
The cockpit hatch is separate and can be depicted as removed or attached (open or closed). The kit also includes a decent looking XLR-11 rocket motor, but everything except the exhaust nozzle disappears inside the airframe when the fuselage halves come together.
There is a cockpit floor, side consoles, rudder pedals, ejection seat, seat harness, instrument panel, control column, and rear bulkhead provided. The exhaust nozzle area is very detailed and looks to be very accurate to the photographs that I have seen.
Eduard should be commended on the great quality of the windscreen. There are 32 photo-etched parts include three different instrument panels. Choose the one that suits the version you are doing. Most of the photo-etched parts are for exterior enhancement but there are some great little cockpit pieces too.
17 paź 2022 · While this kit may not be considered up to some standards today, it is really an excellent kit for the money. There are some aftermarket parts available for this model, mainly improved cockpit components.
