The National Crisis Center (NCCN) is at the service of various government authorities and emergency services 24/7. Missions. The NCCN wants to be a reliable and neutral partner for governments, security services, disciplines and administrations with a view to strengthening the safety and resilience of our country.
In 2018, the National Crisis Center coordinated a large-scale risk assessment for Belgium for the period 2018-2023. Several experts assessed various risks based on their probability and their impact on people, society, the environment and the economy.

The National Crisis centre, Ministry of Home Affairs, is responsible for the coordination of the emergency planning and crisis management policy. Emergency planning and management in Belgium is implemented at 3 different levels: municipal, provincial, or federal level.
