The editor (English but now based in South Korea) has asked me if I can get a diagram (or photos) of a handpump? I need to know the mechanism of the lever system when the handpump is operated to pour a pint. Can any of you chaps out there help? Pics/diagram and description would be brilliant. 11 sie 2017 · Like the pros, you can either elevate the keg and use gravity, or you can use a beer engine to pump the beer. Beer engines typically cost well over $500, but you can save most of that money by building your own based around a hand pump designed for a sink in an RV or camper.

The core of a beer engine is a food grade pump. A great match was available at an RV store — the Rocket dual action pump for under $30. It is made of food grade PVC, pumps on both the push and pull strokes and holds its prime.
