Reaching a speed of up to 25mp/h (40 kp/h), the Mineshaft Mountain Coaster is 2,854 ft (870m) in length and offers riders an exhilarating ride down the mountain. The ride includes sweeping views of Big Bear’s scenery with multiple 360-degree loops, twists and turns.
The Alpine Slide has been a landmark in Big Bear Lake for decades, and to this day, it provides an excellent opportunity for people visiting the area to try their hat at a bobsledding experience. I have driven by it many times over the years but never had a chance to stop until late 2018.
Tickets are $20 per person for adults, while children are $10 each. Summer hours begin on June 5th, which means you can visit the coaster Monday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday-Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. If you’re looking for a family-friendly adventure, the Mineshaft Coaster is just the thing!
