Baylor Law School is the oldest law school in Texas. [4] Baylor Law School is affiliated with Baylor University and located in Waco, Texas. The school has been accredited by the American Bar Association since 1931 and has been a member of the Association of American Law Schools since 1938. [5]

Centrally located in Waco, Texas, in a beautiful facility on the banks of the Brazos River, Baylor Law is by choice one of the smallest law schools in the nation. Since 1857, Baylor Law combines theory with practice throughout the curriculum and cultivates a commitment to service and responsibility in the community.
Baylor University moved to Waco in 1886 and combined with Waco University. At this time, there was no formal law department. The school offered several law classes, including those related to constitutional law and jurisprudence, but no law degree was offered.
Baylor awarded the first law diplomas and established the first law school in Texas. Baylor Law graduates continue to record the highest bar passage rate in the state, and in 2018, Baylor Law ranked #1 among ABA-approved schools in the U.S. in first-time pass rate.
