Many students complete their pre-nursing coursework on our main Baylor campus in Waco, Texas. These students are considered Baylor Pre-Nursing . Other students join us from a variety of colleges and universities where they have completed their nursing pre-requisites.
Undergraduate students pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing as they prepare for the registered nurse licensure. A student majoring in Nursing (designated as a pre-major) will complete the first 60 hours in Waco.
Nursing applicants are required to take the designated nurse admission examination as part of the application process. Minimum scores of 80 on each of the HESI A2 Math and Verbal Composite portions are required to be admitted to the nursing program.
