Barlak is a cave goblin who loves shells and bones, and likes to collect them for use in Construction and Crafting projects. He is located in a small isolated room on the west side of the bottom floor of Dorgesh-Kaan. To get to Barlak, run south of the bank until you can turn west, then run north through the hallway.

currently barlak buys the following from players and gives construction xp. Bones Long bone: 1,000 coins and 4,500 Construction experience. Requires Construction level of 30 or higher, and a player-owned house. Curved bone: 2,000 coins and 6,750 Construction experience.
Anyway, I'm at 29 construction with skilling prodigy (making it 41) and I go to turn in three long bones to Barlak, he accepts them and gives me 1k each, but doesn't give me any construction xp. So I look it up, and the Wiki says there's a 30 construction requirement to even turn the bones in.

Definitely recommend the optimal quest guide. That's what I've been using, and it's been a godsend. I do some of the quests out of order (for example, gunning to do Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble ASAP), but since my goal is the QPC, whenever I want to just do a quest without any one in particular, I just start knocking things off the list.
