Baoshan (Chinese: 保山; pinyin: Bǎoshān ⓘ; Burmese: ပေါက်ရှန်), historically also Yongchang (Chinese: 永昌; pinyin: Yǒngchāng), is a prefecture-level city in western Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. Baoshan is the second-biggest metropolitan area in western Yunnan after Dali.
On the eastern side facing into China, it borders the prefecture-level cities of Dali, Lincang, Nujiang, and Dehong. Positioned geographically at low latitude and at moderate elevation, Baoshan has a mild subtropical highland climate, with short, mild, dry winters and warm, rainy summers.

A rare mixed-religion temple dedicated to all 3 of China's main relgions: Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. The temple was established during the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty. During the Second World War, the temple was used as a command post by the Chinese Expeditionary Force.
