I know I'm responding a to a year old comment, but just ate some Duncan Hines red velvet with the cream cheese frosting, both expired mid-2022. Cake itself is great, but you are right the icing can taste really off.
30 mar 2022 · Does Duncan Hines Frosting expire? According to the DH site, Duncan Hines Layer Cake mixes perform best if used within one year of the manufacturing date. Other Duncan Hines mixes and frostings should be used within one year.
