4 paź 2023 · The University of the Cordilleras is a premier Higher Education Institution in the Philippines. UC is awarded by CHED with Autonomous Status (since 2010), University Status (since 2003), and Centers of Excellence (since 2006).
When the University of the Cordilleras (then Baguio Colleges) opened its doors on June 19, 1946 to 154 students, the College of Education started with the curriculum of Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) with 25 students and 19 females for Elementary Teachers Certificate (ETC).

About the Logo. National Artist for Painting Benedicto Cabrera, popularly known as BenCab based the logo on a traditional Cordillera design for mountains. The triangular shape depicts the Cordillera mountain ranges: The 3 middle triangles depict the colors of the Philippine flag.
