Immediately I attempted to recover my account by resetting password but since my original email was no longer linked, there was no way I could. Afterwards all I could do was fill out the support form on Twitter’s website regarding account recovery due to hacking.
If you haven’t already, I would recommend changing your email password as well just to be safe, and set a new Twitter password. If you have an iOS device, you should be able to see if any of your passwords have appeared in data breaches, and you can go through and change any that have.
Every time I try to create a Twitter account, I get suspended within 20 minutes. My phone can't receive their notifications, so I can't verify it. I submit a case, and they immediately close it. I reply to the email, and they tell me "you're trying to reply to a closed case".
