27 kwi 2018 · When the CP4 fails, it "grenades", basically blows up the internals, and sends fine metal fragments through the FPR to your fuel rails and on to your injectors. Contaminates your fuel system and requires a major fuel system replacement to the tune of $8 - $10K. Varied responses on when it occurs and what factors cause it to occur.
2 wrz 2018 · Took the fuse jumper and touched it directly to battery positive (the correct way to prime the pump) and now the FASS pump doesn't run so something has gone bad. I suspect the Fuse Jumper since it hasn't been passing power through to whatever it was supposed to be powering to begin with.
19 wrz 2017 · If you wanted to make the Duramax mechanical, you would need to remove the CP3 (fuel pump) and add a mechanical pump of some kind. You might need to make a custom cam inside the pump, or run it off a chain/belt to get the timing right.
