11 lis 2008 · You will be needing to chip/tune this to do it properly, so you can use any OBD1 VTEC ECU really. P28 or the P72 (GSR) ECU's are most common. Seals/gaskets you'll need to replace:

Here she is.
B18c1 shifting vtec engagement point to same as sec butterflys engagement.. I can hear vtec engage at 4400rpm but i cant feel any torque/power gain till the secondary flys open up. Wouldnt the lower cam profile be more of a benefit when the long and narrow runners are still been used in the manifold??
18 lut 2015 · The B18C1 VTEC GSR engine is certainly one of them. And yes you can do this swap yourself, it can be done in a single weekend in fact! Here’s a few articles to check out that may show you what is required, and what is needed as well as how to plan for it.

This results in a broad powerband and excellent high RPM capabilities, with VTEC engagement occurring at 4400 RPM.
20 lip 2007 · The reason I want to raise the redline is because with my cams, the VTEC engagement point is at 5950rpm. When I shift from first to second, the car drops out of VTEC for a second, and almost bogs before re-engaging. The higher redline would allow me to shift later, landing in VTEC for second gear.
