3 maj 2009 · ls/vtec always manage to produce higher torque numbers. Without FI, you're going to have a very hard time making those numbers. You can make 220+ on NA, plenty of people have done it before, but you're going to have difficulty getting your torque numbers up that high with a C motor N/A.

28 sty 2005 · VTEC is @ 4400, the secondary butterflies open at 5700 like everyone has said. FWIW, the ECU needs coolant temp, VTEC oil pressure, vehicle speed, and throttle position to engage VTEC. If will decide when or even if to engage VTEC based on those inputs.
