Caution in G6PD deficiency. Co-trimoxazole may be used in children <6 weeks of age for the treatment of, or prophylaxis for, PCP/PJP infection. Discuss with Pharmacy. *Higher doses in non-PCP/PJP infection may be used in some severe infections, up to 27mg/kg (maximum dose 1.44g) 12 hourly.
