The most prolific months during 2021 for tornadoes were March, May, July and December, as each of these months reported 150 or more tornadoes. Specific event days that had the highest tornado frequency and impacts are summarized below.
The month of June produced 234 confirmed tornadoes, the highest count of any month of 2023. Three notable tornado events occurred through the month. On June 14-19, a tornado outbreak, including two EF-3 tornadoes, occurred across parts of the southern U.S. and Ohio Valley.
