9 sie 2024 · The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for Avalon and the southern coastal region of New Jersey. The warning is in effect from Monday, March 25 th at 6:00am through Tuesday, March 26 th, at 2:00pm. Minor tidal flooding is likely at time of high tide Monday morning.
You can prepare for an Evacuation by using a local map to identify the roads you would take to reach these Evacuation Routes from home, work or any place where you and your family spend time.
Avalon is most vulnerable to tidal flooding accompanying nor’easters, hurricanes, and tropical storms. While the flooding from these hazards may be similar in depth, nor’easters have historically caused the most significant damage.
