7 paź 2011 · As far as slot cars, much has changed....and much has remained the same. With regard to the bottom end and middle of the road cars/chassis designs, it's like a Spaghetti Western; you get the good, the bad, and the ugly.
AW has some really good looking cars with nice liveries, and being able to put them on an AFX chassis is fantastic. In general their chassis perform well and are fairly reliable, but some require tweaking out of the box to get running well.
16 lis 2015 · The Aurora cars had good quality control, the Auto World cars (originally Johnny Lightning) usually need at least a little work to run their best. A properly tweaked JL/AW car is as fast as an Aurora car, but if you are looking for something guaranteed to be perfect right out of the box you may have to look elsewhere.

23 wrz 2014 · Cars #3 and #5 saw immediate improvement with their times dropping into the 1.8 range after 10 laps or so. Power and speed remained constant and the best time after 3 sessions was 1.77 seconds by car #5. Car #3 managed a 1.80 for several laps, but could not break under the 1.7x mark.
15 lut 2022 · I've contacted Auto World several times over the years. They are always very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Auto World customer support is fantastic!
I see a lot of great reviews on AFX Racemasters' Super International, but also see that Auto World is planning to release a four-lane track, complete with an adjustable power supply and wireless controllers, which would be amazing for young racers.
