29 lip 2011 · My DC/DC inverter failed in my 2007. Code P0A94. I obtained a used inverter and instead of going through the hastle of removing the entire housing, draining fluids, etc...... I removed all the electrical internals and transplanted them into the old housing. Relatively easy repair. Back on the road.

Remove the 12 bolts and inverter cover. VERIFY THAT VOLTAGE OF INVERTER WITH CONVERTER IS 0 V CAUTION: Wear insulating gloves. Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage of the high voltage DC line. Use a measuring range of DC 400 V or more on the voltmeter.
The DC-DC converter simply takes electricity from one source of direct current (DC) and modifies or converts it, stepping down the high voltage DC from the larger battery into low voltage DC to recharge the 12-volt battery and run any devices connected to the car that uses 12 volts DC for operation.
