The regional landfill is owned by Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County and operated by the Augusta County Service Authority. Hours. Monday-Saturday Commercial/Active Landfill: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residential (Public Use Site): 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Closed Sundays. Fees. There is no service charge to residential customers, except for tires.

The Augusta Regional Landfill receives approximately 500 tons of waste daily from the County of Augusta, and from the cities of Staunton and Waynesboro. The Augusta Regional Landfill also accepts privately hauled household waste from Highland County.
