11 wrz 2023 · Check default audio device: Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings." Under the “Output” section, make sure your TV is selected as the default audio device. If it's not listed, try connecting the HDMI cable while the TV is turned on and see if it appears.
29 paź 2020 · When I plug in an hdmi cable I can duplicate or extend the video just fine, but I can't get the sound to come out of the TV. It comes out of the laptop instead. I have gone to audio devices, but the only one there is Contextant SmartAudio HD, which is the laptop.
At my mom's place I have a PC setup with HDMI to her LCD flat panel, worked fine until this past week, not sure why it stopped working. I've tried another HDMI cable and updating drivers to no avail. It appears that there is no audio device attached, in windows 10.
