8 mar 2017 · My only recommendation is buy lots of extra hose to pump in fluid. You can share the gear oil hose for front and rear final drives as they share the same fluid. You should have a clean hose for your transfer case and a clean hose for your tranny fluid. This ensures you aren't getting oil residue in whatever you are filling.
28 lip 2023 · Could not find any threads where trans fluid change led to a catastrophic failure, so that gives me some confidence. Does anyone have any experience with high mileage tranny fluid changes, or thoughts on how to minimize potential damage?
12 lut 2019 · Dirty oil can overheat the gearbox or cause the clutches to burn out. This will lead to poor gear selection, loss of drive and transmission failure. The oil should be replaced every 38,000 miles. Depending on your vehicle, the filter may need to be changed as well. All the gearbox automatic transmission fluid (ATF) oil needs to be replaced.
28 gru 2017 · Took it to the local Audi main dealer who eventually found fluid in the main electrical connector on the gearbox ECU and was charged £60 for the diagnosis. Quoted just over £3k to replace the gearbox ECU and wiring harness.
If you are having problems with the transmission in your A7 Quattro, such as clunky shifting or hesitation, check the transmission fluid level first - it is amazing how many drivers pay thousands of dollars for transmission work when a half quart of transmission fluid would have fixed the problem.
12 cze 2008 · I'm using 1qt Havoline Dex VI + 1oz Lubegard Platinum as a substitute for VW G 055 005 A2 in my ZF 6HP19. 2,500 miles now and the transmission shifts better than ever. I went through two full cases (24qt) to do a complete flush when I switched. Note that the 6HP is sensitive to fluid, yet no problems noted.
If the recommended standard for your A7 is GL-4, you should use a GL-4 oil; this way the bronze synchronizers of your transmission will not be ruined by the sulfur found in GL-5 oils. Automatic transmission fluid
