I've tried it for a few days, it sucks even for gaming. I have more frame dips in atlasOs that never existed in stock w10, battery life sucks, plus there's no windows defender so you know. It's unstable in the overall sense and I've learnt that less resource usage doesn't mean games running better.

As the Windows itself is closed source, there isn't really any way to make sure Atlas OS does what it says it does. The only legitimate source for Windows is Microsoft. If you need a more flexible and moddable OS, choose Linux. I know Windows itself isn't privacy-centered whatsoever, so I'm already using Linux most of the time.
