Each country’s average surface temperature for 2000-2020 is taken from the Weather for Energy Tracker. If the slope of a linear regression of temperatures is higher than 0.042°C per year (+0.011°C from the world average), that country’s climate hazard level is “high”.
Discussions on climate change and socio-environmental trajectories in the Greek world during the historical periods have, however, been much more limited, particularly in the context of the Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic eras (as has also been discussed in Post 2022a; Weiberg and Finné 2022).
