1 sty 2015 · Applicant must submit evidence of holding an active Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or meet one of the following requirements: (a) Submit evidence of an active Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) credential issued by the NBRC prior to July 1, 1999.
Additionally, all 49 states that regulate the practice of respiratory care use the CRT or RRT credential as the basis for state licensure. The TMC Examination also determines your eligibility for the Clinical Simulation Examination (CSE) which is required for the RRT credential.
