Thinking more of individuals playing online rather than card rooms - should have mentioned this. http://www.pokerstreams.org/ is up and coming! It's ran by redditor PokerDividends and will hopefully grow to be the place to visit for this answer.
Want to learn more about how high caliber players play and just want to know who’s worth watching and where! Thanks
Hello, going to vegas for 3ish days and plan on playing live poker for the first time, planning on playing 1/3 nl several times throughout the weekend, and I am prepared for 4-5 bullets. Looking for any advice on dos and donts or things you wish you would of done your first time.
I know that playing online is generally considered to be harder than playing comparable stakes live. However, I've found that I have the opposite experience. I play 3-4 tables of 50NL online, and I'm at 18.94 BB/h with ~280 hours played.
Just wondering how you feel about poker as a way to make a living vs a more traditional job. Also if you could share whether you play online or live that would be nice. I've done both and they are radically different experiences, and I'm not even talking about the poker but rather the lifestyle.
You can watch some poker and analyse real hands away from the pressure of your own money, and that's good. But if you watch some old poker shows thinking those players are playing well then you're probably making yourself worse.
Live poker is more "appealing to a sense of fun-ness" than online poker so it attracts more recreational players. Live poker competes with other "house-leaving" activities such as watching the latest Hollywood blockbuster at the cinema or slinging dollar bills at the local strip club.
