Text in Minecraft can be formatted with the section sign (§). In Bedrock Edition, the section sign can be used in signs, world names, book and quills, anvils and cartography tables (to rename items and maps), and in the chat input field (including in commands such as /say and /title).

If you're on Java edition, the section sign will work in some areas still like books, and partially in signs (while editing the sign the formatting applies, but upon finishing it the formatting is lost).

Copy the unicode character and paste it into Minecraft: Bedrock Edition chats, signs, titles etc. How does it work? Minecraft uses resource packs to assign characters (glyphs) to different unicode values, which is how the game allows you to type in chat and write on signs etc.
This client side mod allows you to paste special characters into the chat, on signs, books, and in the anvil text box. It also has support for a customizable symbol and kaomoji list. Additionally, you can select a unicode font that is supported by minecraft, and your typed text will automatically get converted into the supported characters.
