5 paź 2020 · Hmm, looks like an oversight by Asus. (I had an ASUS laptop - never again! - failed in warranty and shortly after the same way). To enable FN Lock on the All in One Media Keyboard, press the FN key, and the Caps Lock key at the same time. To disable FN Lock, press the FN key, and the Caps Lock key at the same time again.
1 gru 2017 · I have an Asus Republic of gamers laptop and today certain keys stopped working but will work as normal when another key is pressed simultaneously. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard but the problem persists. The keys work perfectly as long as I'm pressing another key.
28 maj 2018 · Distinguished. My Asus X44H laptop is typing the wrong characters or adding extra letters/symbols when I press certain keys. for example, press the O key types no. Sometimes in chrome when I type the letter O it activates F11 for full screen mode. Seems like the key mapping is way off. I uninstalled the keyboard from device manager and rebooted.

I use it with an external USB keyboard and USB mouse, and therefore didn't notice that the laptop keyboard isn't working at all - no backlight, nothing, except for the ON/OFF key (top right corner). The integrated keyboard doesn't work in BIOS either.

Solution. #4. yep, there's a fn switch key somewhere that sets the input to what the fn + key is as default like the caps lock basically. google your exact laptop model if you can't find it to switch it off, it's usually on the upper/right section and there should be a led on when it's set.
26 sie 2018 · Other solutions I've tried to resolve the issue: - Uninstalled keyboard driver in device manager and restarted laptop. - Resetted Laptop to factory. - Opened back cover and unplugged everything, including the two keyboard ribbon cables connected to the motherboard. - Replaced the factory keyboard with a new keyboard.
27 mar 2017 · So there are two ways. 1. Unplug the connector inside the laptop (but that would be more effort than cleaning the keyboard) 2. Disable your device using DevManView. 2.1 Download DevManView. 2.2 Sort list by "Device Type Code" and search for "Keyboard".
