Astroneer’s music is pitch perfect. I find some of the melodic moments, especially while traveling on the surface of planets to be excellent and to have a sort of momentum. The slower, darker stuff while underground is great, and really creates a sense of direction amidst the inching and mining in the dark.
The music in Harmony is absolutely abysmal/horrid. I could always hear Circle of the Moons soundtrack throughout the day both in my head and I'd also pull it up on YouTube/Spotify when I'd get a chance.
The whole Starbound soundtrack has a lot of good songs. Since it's about exploring planets in space, I figured it'd be a good pick.
The sound system could've been designed with more real instruments, less sound effects and especially less copied drums, as you'll see. That considered, it's pretty awesome for amateur musicians. All instruments (except for the different Tungsten Carbide timbres): https://youtu.be/vshlBp8ZSa0. Medium canisters.
