One of the more popular ones (which was called Fuji TV because it streamed Fuji but had nothing to do with the channel) gave a link to a website that had quite the selection of channels. Here were the ones I remember: • Fuji TV • TV Tokyo • Disney Channel Japan • TV Asahi
New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. I don't know about legality but you can try https://aqstream.com/jp/TVA/TV-Asahi. Not outside of Japan, no. Live, no, but on demand, either TVer or Teleasa https://navi.telasa.jp/. Alternatively buy a oneseg phone.
Where can I watch Japanese Television shows? I have tried Crunchyroll (limited shows with actors instead of animations), Funimation (same as Crunchyroll), and Rakuten Viki (more shows with actors available, but still limited to around 60ish titles compared to hundreds from other Asian countries).
If casting is an option it could still work with a phone or tablet and installing the VLC app I think**. Download and install VLC player. Then click file -> open network stream -> and paste this address: https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/countries/jp.m3u.
Depends on when you're leaving, but most major broadcasters are about to start streaming TV online. NTV already does so on the Tver app, for instance. Or if you have a few shows that you absolutely don't wanna miss, you can also sign up for the OTT of your channel of choice.
Since you have a specific show you want to watch, the best thing is just to search on the Internet how to watch that program streaming in Japan. There are so many different streaming companies, but of course they all have their exclusive content.
If you mean the streaming service they changed to Forjoy TV to avoid confusion with Japan's Fuji TV site.
