29 lip 2024 · The Arterial Anatomy of the Cerebellum. The cerebellum is primarily supplied by three arteries originating from the vertebrobasilar system: the superior cerebellar artery (SCA), the anterior inferior cerebellar artery (AICA), and the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA).
1 mar 2014 · Abstract. This chapter provides an overview of the anatomy of the cerebral arteries including a brain map of the areas supplied by these arteries in the brainstem, cerebellum, and cerebral hemispheres. Arterial territories are depicted in such a way that can be directly applied to neuroimaging slices in clinical practice.
A detailed understanding of normal and variant cerebral arterial anatomy is important to understanding common cerebrovascular diseases, such as ischemic stroke, steno-occlusive disease, cerebral aneurysms, cerebral arteriovenous malformations, and pial and dural arteriovenous fistulae.
17 paź 2022 · Diagram of the Posterior Cerebral Artery and its Branches. Each number corresponds to the following neuroanatomy: 1) basilar artery; 2) superior cerebellar artery; 3) posterior cerebral artery; 4) thalamic subthalamic arteries; 5) posterior communicating
30 paź 2023 · Owing to the high oxygen and nutrient demand of the organ, it is supplied by two arterial systems: The anterior circuit is supplied by the internal carotid arteries. The posterior circuit is supplied by the vertebrobasilar system. The focus of this article will be to discuss the major arteries that supply the brain.
1 lis 2018 · Knowledge of normal cerebral vascular anatomy and physiology is critical for both recognizing and safely managing a range of neurosurgical conditions through either open or endovascular techniques. In this article we summarize the key features of the arterial supply and venous drainage of the brain along with their main clinical significance.
