10 wrz 2005 · I was wondering when listening to "Straight to the Point"-tune from Art Porter that what mouthpiece did he play on alto? He has a nice smooth jazz-sound and pictures show him with a HR mpc. Thanks!
24 lis 2008 · I too have wondered what Art's mouthpiece was on Soprano. From what I heard on his recordings and seen of his videos and pics, I'm making an educated guess that he's playing a Yamaha SS 4c, or maybe a 5c.
14 sie 2018 · My improvements with the mouthpiece are: crisper attacks on tongue attacks, easier breath attacks. Easier to produce even tone on the whole range (it took some adjustment to find the right volume in the lower notes, because it is very easy to play loud with the bronze top).
22 lut 2008 · The mouthpiece has exceptional response, like alot of high quality mouthpieces. It does favor the higher partials though so some of the depth is lost as with good Ched based designs. It still maintains some good centering but not as centered as many other mpcs out there.
