Every Callsign Certificate expires after 3 years. A Callsign Certificate is easy to renew before it expires; after a Callsign Certificate expires, your only recourse is to request a replacement Callsign Certificate.

All data stays in the LoTW system forever regardless of any certificates in your computer or in the LoTW system. Follow these easy steps to renew your signing certificate:
You can either send the renewal request as an email attachment to lotw-logs@arrl.org or upload it via the Upload File area on The Logbook Web site. When your renewal request is complete, you will see an additional line on your TQSLCert program screen.

If you need to change the date range of your certificate you can simply renew the certificate making sure to use the correct dates for QSO begin and end. Remember to leave the QSO end date empty if the call sign is currently active.
