You need to add the mod to the server. You will notice there are two places where you can insert mods. Additional mods – mods required by the client to conect to your server – Usually Maps/Uniforms/Vehicles etc…..

Alternatively you can install the A3 Launcher and download it via their mods tab. Servers tend to be modded (although you can find some vanilla, i.e. base maps and Exile mod only) but both A3 Launcher and the Arma 3 Launcher will subscribe to/download the mods you require before joining.
