  2. Arkansas Newly-Admitted CLE Rules. Arkansas new admittees must complete their first CLE requirement by June 30 of the year following admission to the Bar. A mandatory ethics/skills course must be taken within 2 years of certification.

  3. Every attorney must have 12 hours of continuing legal education annually. This must include at least one hour of ethics. However, any attorney or Judge who attains age 70 or completes 40 years of licensure as an Arkansas lawyer is exempt from CLE requirements. (Reference Rules for Minimum Continuing Education, Rule 3.)

  7. Arkansas CLE Requirements. Attorney Requirements. Arkansas attorneys are required to complete 12 hours of CLE each year. At least 1 hour must be in the area of Ethics, which may include professionalism. Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by June 30th and report by July 31st each year.
