The boss arena used to be entirely different with the arena instead being in a large underground cavern. You have to be unmounted and stand on the platform in order to get teleported to the arena. You must defeat The Bosses within the timer or you and your dinos will die and items will be lost.

You will need tames for the tributes for the boss arena. I would recommend using a wyvern for the land tributes and a tuso or basilo for the water. For the boss arena it's very straight forward. You will need a very good shotgun (high dura and high damage) plus about 1000 shotgun rounds for Alpha.
