The best way to combat the freezing caves is bring lots of food and blood bags. The north east cave is also apparently the hardest cave on the map. To get to the bottom, I am pretty sure you have to build a ladder down there, but it is possible to build a ladder down there.
The best tame for caves is a Baryonyx, Thyla's can only enter one or two caves easily, Wolves lack armour, Sabres are shorter than Bary's leaving you vulnerable to Athros and Onycs, Megatheriums are huge, making it difficult to see properly when they scrape your head on the roof and need to be cryo'd through every other corridor leaving you ...
31 sty 2017 · In my experience, the Snow Cave, Death Island Cave, and new Caverns of Lost Faith (western underwater cavern) have the best loot. Swamp Cave is up there, too, though I personally haven't had as much luck.
