If you’re dead set on free, Davince Resolve. But it isn’t the most user-friendly option. For ease-of-use, Movavi video editing software is much better in my opinion. It does have a watermark until you pay for it, but the pricing is very reasonable. I think it will serve most beginners better.
YouTube Easy Video Maker (for computer). The free version has a 5mins limitation. So for longer videos, I cut it and Marge on the free Windows 10 Video Editor.
However if I'm doing any animations I personally prefer Hitfilm over DaVinci Resolve. Hitfilm is also free. i currently use OpenShot, it does what it needs to, you can edit your videos, add filters, render it for specific platforms (youtube, vimeo, some other stuff) or make DVDs with it, kinda cool.
