Ideally I want to become really good at video editing (I care more about the editing aspect than my actual yt channel suceeding) and premier pro seems to be what most people use. DaVinci is sorta close to Premiere but without the monthly cost.

davinci resolve is the gold standard in video editing whether you call it simple is an open question but once you know what to click then resizing, rotating and exporting 60 fps is quick.
DaVinci resolve. I have been editing for 15 years and recently switched from premiere pro to DaVinci and I never looked back. The most incredible thing is that it is free. Or a one time shot of $300. The best hands down.
I don't need all those effects. Sadly, having supereasy-to-use software means engineering teams *.*. iMovie came with your Mac and is by far the easiest-to-use editor for either platform. There isn't a lightweight, easy-to-use free/inexpensive editor that we'd recommend for Windows the way we recommend iMovie.
