California Non-Resident Tuition Exemption (AB-343, AB-540, AB-2000, and SB-68) Purpose Use these forms to request exemption from non-resident tuition fees until residency is either established or re-established.
To be eligible for California residency, a student must do the following: Be a US citizen or hold a US immigration status that does not prevent establishment of residency. Verify physical presence in California for at least one year and one day prior to the first day of the semester.
