After a student selects Accelerated Reader on the Home page, he or she can take Reading Practice, Vocabulary Practice, Literacy Skills, and Other Reading Quizzes. To see a video demonstration of how students take a quiz, click here. Students should take quizzes within 24 hours of finishing a book.

You can take a sample Reading Practice Quiz (or Teacher-Made Quiz) so that you can see how a specific quiz is presented to students. Follow these steps: If you have a Home page tile like the first example below, select Manage Content.

Students can see if Accelerated Reader quizzes are available for a book by looking for the buttons described in step 1 below. Teachers can open the book information window for a book and select the i /Details tab; if the AR Quiz information shows a quiz number (not a dash), the book has an AR quiz.
