  1. Gen 2. The gen 4 is a pos since you will strip the set screw and find yourself driving to a fastenal to replace it. It doesn't hold timing well either. As mentioned earlier, go with the hogue and the kingpin. This is by far the superior setup.

  2. The difference is how adjustable they are. In the Gen 2, the thing is held together by a screw opposite the maglock itself, on that plate thing right under the bolt catch. The way it's designed, you have to fit it snugly or not at all.
