Aquasco Speedway, no longer in operation, was the first quarter-mile dragstrip on the United States East Coast. It was built in the mid-1950s and was home to the President's Cup Nationals, which are now held at Maryland International Raceway.

Some cool stories out of that track. It was definately the place to race back then in this area. 08 Unlimited Rubicon, 08 Z06, 08 G5, 07 Silverado Z71.
30 cze 2010 · Carved straight out of the woods, Aquasco did not even have a address. fliers simply stated “20 miles south of town on Route 381”. The track had nearly a quarter mile shutdown with bleachers and concession stands lining both sides of the track.
4 lut 2011 · Alfonso and Rose Procopio opened the Aquasco facility, built on 188 acres of land on May 25, 1957. Prior to its opening, the state of Maryland boasted zero dedicated dragstrips, making Aqausco a true destination for hot rodders at the time and what was considered to be a pioneering effort in the region.
