18 lut 2011 · It's time to paint the bottom of the boat again. I've been using a solvent based multi-season ablative for the last 10 years. Been seeing some good deals on water based ablatives (Aquaguard, WM Pure Oceans, Petitt Hydrocoat, etc.) and was wondering if those that have used them have found them to work as well as the solvent based types.
Is any one familiar with this product? I like the idea of using the most environmentally friendly bottom paint as possible, but still want reasonable performance. They also state that it can be applied a year before launch. Thanks
18 lut 2010 · EP2000 isn’t compatible with other bottom paints, so switching paints requires significant prep work. Flexdel. Based on these six-month results and our recent field test, Flexdels water-based and aluminum-friendly Aquaguard competes closely with Pettits Hydrocoat, a similar water-based blend.
