The fastest and most efficient way to apply for benefits is online. If you are unable to file online from your home/cell phone, you may visit the nearest WorkForce WV local office and utilize the computer lab to file your claim. Staff will be available to answer any questions.
Apply online. You can apply for WV unemployment benefits 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit the portal at uc.workforcewv.org and select “To file a new/additional Initial Unemployment Claim” from the options menu. Simply follow the prompts and enter your information to complete the application.
