23 mar 2019 · I'm not sure where you're getting -p -r as boot args to reset NVRAM, but sudo nvram -c should do the trick on High Sierra, as Tetsujin states here. When you're done, reboot into recovery mode once more, open Terminal and then re-enable SIP with csrutil enable, and reboot into High Sierra.
14 lip 2014 · I had to actually power down the iMac and power it back up before it would recognize the keyboard. After taking it in to an Apple Store (a 30 mile drive, very inconvenient) they simply reset the PRAM and the problem went away.
PRAM cleans out what'd otherwise be called the bios memory. Settings that decide which disk will get booted, for example, or whether the mac will boot into safe mode, verbose mode etc.

13 gru 2021 · I read that you can reset the PRAM using Terminal this way: Close all apps and open Terminal (Finder > Utilities > Terminal). Enter sudo nvram -c and press Enter/return.
