1 lut 2022 · Can you provide an error log? You can generate one at https://smapi.io/log, there are instructions on that page. Having a log will make it easier to resolve your issue!
For some reason a few months ago my game started continuously crashing when launching with SMAPI. It first launches a black screen with no sound or visuals and after a few seconds says "StardewModdingAPI is not responding".
This will cause SMAPI to load forever, show no errors and never complete because it runs out of GPU memory. Try going into NVidia's control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program settings and lookup StardewModdingAPI.exe (add it if it doesnt exist) and set it to "High performance Nvidia processor".
19 sie 2024 · Make sure there's no repeating errors in the SMAPI console window (if there are, see get help). Temporarily remove all mods except SMAPI and Error Handler. If that fixes it, one of your mods might be causing lag. (You can still try the other fixes below to see if they help.) For Windows players only: Run the game on your dedicated graphics card.
SMAPI failed to initialize because your game's Stardew Valley.exe seems to be invalid. This may be a pirated version which modified the executable in an incompatible way; if so, you can try a different download or buy a legitimate version.
SMAPI 4.0 mainly updates for Stardew Valley 1.6, improves performance and compatibility rewriting, adds per-mod-folder settings, and removes Error Handler (which is now integrated into the game itself).
